24 Hours of Le Mans 2025

Race report

Robert Kubica wrote his name into the history of the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans by winning aboard the AF Corse Ferrari 499P #83, shared with China's Yifei Ye and Britain's Phil Hanson. After twenty-four hours of racing, the crew completed 387 laps, covering 5,269.0 kilometres at an average of 219.50 km/h, sealing Ferrari's third consecutive victory in the premier class since the marque's return to the top of endurance racing.

The fight for overall victory came down to consistency and management across a 61-car field. Behind the #83, the Hypercar order was packed onto the same lap: the Porsche Penske Motorsport Porsche 963 #6, led by Kevin Estre, finished second just 14.084 seconds back, while the AF Corse Ferrari 499P #51, with Antonio Giovinazzi, completed the podium at 28.487 seconds. Three cars on the same lap after a full day of racing made the 2025 edition one of the most hotly contested of the Hypercar era.

In LMP2, the Inter Europol Competition Oreca #43 took victory with Tom Dillmann, Jakub Smiechowski and Nick Yelloly after 367 laps. The VDS Panis Racing #48 took second place ahead of the AO by TF #199. In LMGT3, the Manthey 1ST Phorm Porsche 911 #92 dominated the class thanks to Ryan Hardwick, Richard Lietz and Riccardo Pera, with 341 laps to their name. The Vista AF Corse #21 and the TF Sport #81 rounded out the class podium.

Beyond the numbers, the 2025 edition confirms Ferrari's foothold at the very top of world endurance racing and the depth of a Hypercar field in which every manufacturer can fight for the win. For Robert Kubica, this Le Mans success stands as one of the high points of an extraordinary career.
