A British driver born on 22 January 1985 in Manchester, Ben Hanley made his name in single-seaters, joining the Renault F1 young driver programme (2006-2008) and finishing runner-up in the 2007 Formula Renault 3.5 Series. He went on to build his career in endurance racing, notably with DragonSpeed, competing in LMP1 and then LMP2. A recognised specialist of the category, he claimed LMP2 class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021 and 2024, won the 24 Hours of Daytona in LMP2 in 2020 and was crowned Asian Le Mans Series champion in 2022.
