Brendon Hartley, born in 1989 in Palmerston North, New Zealand, has built an unusual career. Dropped by the Red Bull single-seater programme in 2010, he bounced back in endurance racing with Porsche: FIA WEC world champion in 2015 and 2017, winner of the 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans aboard the Porsche 919 Hybrid. Recalled to Formula 1 with Toro Rosso in late 2017 and through 2018, he then returned to endurance with Toyota. A double FIA WEC world champion in 2022 and 2023 and double Le Mans winner in 2022 and 2024 in the Toyota GR010 Hybrid, he stands as one of the great references of the disciplin
