David Heinemeier Hansson, born on 15 October 1979 in Copenhagen, is a Danish racing driver also known as an entrepreneur and the creator of the Ruby on Rails framework. Having come to motorsport relatively late, he made his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut in 2012. In 2014 he won the LM GTE Am class at Le Mans and claimed the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) class title, later adding several LMP2 podiums in the following editions.
