Dries Vanthoor, born in 1998 in Hasselt, is a rising Belgian driver and younger brother of Laurens Vanthoor. Developed through the Audi and then BMW driver programmes, he established himself in GT racing at the top level: winner of the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring and a GT World Challenge Europe champion, he racked up wins and podiums with the Audi R8 LMS and then the BMW M4 GT3. Promoted to the Hypercar programme with BMW M Team WRT in the M Hybrid V8 LMDh, he quickly emerged as a fast and complete driver. In 2026 he continues his Hypercar commitment with BMW
