Ian James is a British-American racing driver, founder and team principal of the Heart of Racing Team, which he established in 2020 in partnership with Aston Martin. A seasoned endurance competitor, he won the LMP2 drivers' title in the 2004 American Le Mans Series and scored an LMP2 class podium at the 2006 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2023 he won the GTD class at the 24 Hours of Daytona in an Aston Martin Vantage. A regular Le Mans entrant, he finished 4th in LMGT3 in 2025.
