James Calado, born in 1989 in Yorkshire, is a leading British driver in modern endurance racing. After a single-seater career through GP2 and a Force India F1 test role, he joined the Ferrari works programme and won it all in GT: FIA WEC LMGTE Pro world champion in 2017 and 2021, class winner at the 2019 and 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans. Promoted to the 499P from Ferrari's Hypercar comeback, he won the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans aboard the AF Corse number 51 entry. In 2026 he continues his Hypercar commitment with AF Corse and remains one of the benchmarks of the top class.
