Jonas Ried is a German racing driver born in 2004, the son of Christian Ried, an endurance driver and founder of the Proton Competition team. After progressing through karting and Formula 4 (the Italian, UAE and ADAC championships) between 2021 and 2022, he moved into endurance racing in 2023, competing in the Asian Le Mans Series and the European Le Mans Series. In 2024 he won a race in the ELMS and finished 8th in the championship. At the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans he secured fourth place in the LMP2 class. In 2026, Jonas Ried contests the 24 Hours of Le Mans driving the number 9 Proton Compet
